5 Seismic load — SI 413 (2023)

Z and Ss from the town map/list in SI 413 (2023) — Z≈0.075 in the centre/coast up to ~0.30 in the Dead Sea rift / Eilat. Rp=0.75 for a rigid curtain wall (table I.1). Fp=Rp·PGA·W·I (PGA=Fa·Z). The governing force on the anchor = the maximum of wind and earthquake; the connection and bolts are designed for 4× Fp (satisfied against the ultimate pull-out ≥6000 N), with a sliding connection allowing ≥13 mm storey drift.

A preliminary design aid by ADIT. Above ~12 m cladding height, ≥25 storeys, or a cantilevered wall — a signed design by a licensed structural engineer is required. Anchor data are based on tests by the Standards Institution of Israel.
